GLOBAL EXCHANGES
In 2007, Goals for Girls began as a global exchange program where soccer playing girls connected with other soccer playing girls around the world, and this continues to be a core component of our work today. During global exchanges, Goals for Girls partners with a girls soccer program in a select country around the world, and they host US delegations of girls for a “site visit”. During site visits, the US girls learn what life is like as a girl from a marginalized community, as it relates to education, gender related issues, healthcare, cultural norms, and more. Additionally, the host girls soccer program introduces the US delegation to how sport is being used in their local community to transform the lives of girls. Global exchanges also may include attending a Goals for Girls Leadership Summit.
